Crewing Coordinator
Help keep the crews behind North Sea energy operations ready to perform.
At North Star, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
Every day, North Star vessels operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world.
Our crews deliver safety-critical services to offshore installations across the North Sea, providing emergency response, rescue and specialist maritime support that millions rely upon, but few ever see. Supporting a fleet of ERRVs, MRSVs and PSV’s, we play a vital role in protecting people, safeguarding critical energy infrastructure and keeping offshore operations running safely and efficiently
We're looking for a highly organised and people-focused Crewing Coordinator to help ensure our vessels remain safely crewed, compliant and operationally ready. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced operational environment where your work directly impacts vessel readiness, workforce resilience, crew wellbeing and operational performance across one of the UK's leading offshore fleets.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with Fleet Managers, Masters and offshore personnel, you'll coordinate crew planning, workforce planning, seafarer management, personnel logistics and crew mobilisation activities across an assigned fleet of vessels.
You'll help ensure our seafarers maintain the qualifications, certification and training required to support safe and compliant operations, while proactively managing crew availability, workforce readiness and operational continuity. You'll also support recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration and workforce planning initiatives that help build a sustainable pipeline of talented maritime professionals for the future.
No two days are the same. One moment you could be coordinating an urgent crew change, the next supporting long-term workforce planning or helping solve a crewing challenge that keeps a vessel operational.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a proactive, detail-focused individual who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys supporting people.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience in crewing, workforce planning, personnel logistics, seafarer management or operational coordination.
Experience working within maritime, offshore, logistics, shipping or other operationally focused industries.
Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
A commitment to accuracy, compliance and delivering exceptional support to crews and operational teams.
Knowledge of STCW, MLC, certification management and crew mobilisation requirements would be advantageous.
Experience supporting ERRV, MRSV, PSV’s or wider maritime operations would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
