Project Controls Engineer
Help deliver North Star's strategic vessel and capital projects through expert planning, forecasting and data-driven insight.
North Star is transforming offshore operations through investment in a modern fleet, industry-leading technology and exceptional people. As we continue to grow our vessel construction, dry dock and capital project portfolio, we are looking for a Project Controls Engineer to play a key role in delivering projects that will shape the future of our business.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing function at the heart of North Star's strategic investment programme. You'll provide the planning, forecasting, reporting and performance insight that enables successful delivery of vessel construction, dry dock and capital projects.
Working across technical, operational, financial and project teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives. Through robust project controls, governance and performance management, you'll provide the visibility and insight needed to support effective decision-making at every stage of the project lifecycle.
More than maintaining schedules, you'll provide the data-driven insight that enables informed decision making, identifies risks and opportunities early, and supports successful project outcomes across North Star's growing programme portfolio.
About You
We're looking for a proactive and analytical project controls professional who thrives in a dynamic engineering environment and enjoys turning complex data into actionable business insight.
You will bring:
Experience within a Project Controls, Planning or Programme Controls environment.
Advanced Primavera P6 planning and scheduling capability.
Experience supporting major capital projects, vessel construction, infrastructure or complex engineering programmes.
Strong forecasting, performance reporting and project controls expertise.
Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.
Experience within marine, offshore energy, renewables, shipbuilding or other highly regulated engineering environments would be advantageous.
Why North Star?
North Star is a business with a proud heritage and an ambitious future. We are investing significantly in our fleet, our people and the technologies that will support the energy transition.
In return, you'll join a collaborative and supportive organisation where you'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, influence strategic decisions and contribute directly to the delivery of programmes that matter to the future of our business and our industry.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact while developing your career within a growing and forward-thinking organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
Join North Star and help deliver the next generation of projects driving our future success.
