DEPARTMENT: Rescue Boat Services/ Vessel Support

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To operate our company flat-bed truck and work as part of our Vessel Support Team in Lowestoft.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Directly responsible to the Vessel Support Manager.

KEY WORK AREAS:

• To assist the VSS team with day to day repairs onboard our fleet of ERRV & SOV’s.

• To operate our 12t rigid truck and lorry mounted crane for day to day tasks.

• To ensure the truck, crane and lifting equipment are in good condition.

• To work as part of a team and with flexibility.

• To maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with current health & safety regulations (including the maintenance/housekeeping of the workshops and vans).

• To undertake all necessary paperwork in a prompt and accurate manner.

• To undertake any other duties as delegated by the Vessel Support Manager of Foreman.

COMMUNICATIONS:

• Daily contact with colleagues and management at the Rescue Boat & VSS Department.
• Liaising directly with ships staff as required.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/TARGETS:

• Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• All paperwork/documentation should be completed accurately and within set timescales.

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

• Ideally Class 2 HGV although training can be given.
• Full UK Driving License

• ADR/CPC

• Counterbalance forklift
